Poems about Feelings

Some teenagers think that showing feelings is a sign of weakness. However, the contrary is true. Those people that have the courage to share their feelings with their peers are likely to have healthier, happier, and longer lasting relationships. Teens and adolescents often have feelings of an intense nature that are difficult to handle. Teens may be embarrassed, thinking that there is something wrong with the feelings that they have. I have three words for you, share, share, and share.

I am just a lonely girl,
    Trying to find her way,
    I am a butterfly,
    On a bright sunny day,
    I am a flower,
    Trying to grow,
    I am a mirror,
Of what others think they know,
    I am a fish in a ..........

Don't be fooled by the mask I create
For it is all a lie
    Underneath my calm sophisticated facade
There is nothing but lies and sadness

I need you to help me
I need you to reach out
    Wipe ..........

Born a self hatin' little girl with a soul so pure
Beautiful and smart-- so young, yet mature
Talented with words, but the world doesn't see
That this is the only way that I know how to be ..........

    She looks in the mirror

    With cold hard eyes
And no expression on her face
Trying to cover up the pain she feels
    A lost little ..........

    Just because I'm quiet
    doesn't mean I'm mute
    Doesn't mean I'm boring
    Doesn't mean I can't be outgoing
    Just because I'm quiet
    Don't make fun of me
    Don't judge how I am
    Don't treat me ..........

    Dressed in a sundress
    Under the pouring rain
    She twirled around
Raising her hands to the air
    Droplets fell onto her hair

Bare footed as she started dancing
    Letting her hair free
    She's the ..........

You only see what I choose to show
But there is a lot that you don't know
    I regret a lot because I knew
Just how wrong they were to do
It was really stupid and now I suffer
From all the things I ..........

I sit in my corner of lies
It's these four walls I despise
    Everywhere I look I see a glimpse
Of everything I seem to miss

    I lie
    I cheat
But it's myself I cannot beat

    I scream
    I ..........
