Dad Poem

This is dedicated to my dad "John Tinney," the man I never got to know as a father.

The Daddy I Never Knew

© Sara Thomason
Sometimes I think of all the stuff you would do.
Should I call you daddy or by your first name.
I never knew you, so I don't know what to say.
I'm writing this poem from the bottom of my heart,
because I never get to talk about you from my heart.
My adopted father's family says I get my hair from dad,
but I get my eyes from you.
Your the wonders of my dreams.
But all I can say is I love you daddy, is that O.K. ?

My Name is Brandy , I never got a chance to meet my father either because He Never wanted me. And all I could think of , Does he hate me? I found out he lives very close by me, But I don't know if he wants me or even wants to see me. I gotten so close to my step father but all he told me was lies and kicked me out. The person who raised me was my mom and my mom friends and my 2 grandparents but me and my grandma fight all the time. It's so hard growing up with a father. One day, I'm going to run away and go find him , I tried contacting him over Facebook But, He never replies. And I will do ANYTHING To see him. I need a dad and I'm going after him

I never knew my father either only by stories my mother told me. My dad never wanted me or my brother. He has other kids and a new family. My little brother asks me ''why don't wehave a father '' and I don't know what to say because it hurts too much to talk about him. I think to myself why doesn't he want me? Why did he leave? My mom wasn't with me all the time she was always trying to provide for us, I grew up calling my grandparents ''mom'' and ''dad ''. Is that right? My life is messed up because I'm lost without my parents.

My mom got pregnant her senior year of high school with me and my dad left when I was only a baby. I met him when I was seven but he was quick to disappear. I barely could remember his face. For fourteen years I've been without him. I always avoided thinking about him. He was a gangbanger and went to jail more than often. But now he wants me back in his life. Is it OK for me to feel such spite?

When I was 2 years old, my father died in a fire. So I didn't really know him. I've had two step dads already and I'm sad that I don't have a real father.
